The f'om mu rusts continue to control the city. NATIONALISTS CL ATM RECAPTURE OF CITY. SHANGHAI. Dec. 14. Japanese reports state that thp N-a-ti-onaist troops attacked Canton, from the south-west and drove out the Communists beyond the city wall after a desperate fight. Local Nationalists claim the recapture of the city, but the report is not verified. Independent sources report that the Nationalist- Government has ordered the Foreign Minister to break off relations with Russia and close all the consulates in Nationalist territory.
