LONDON, WOOL SALES. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. LONDON, Dec. 13. The wool sales have closed. The bales catalogued totalled 121,685. It is. estimated that 53,000 were sold to the Home trade, 52,000 to the Continent, 20U0 to America, and 14,000 held. Keen biddings and tone prevailed throughout. Merinos, medium and broader graded, were fully five per cent above September, while other sorts were from par to five per cent, higher. Medium crossbreds eased slightly during the last few days, closing at 5 to 7\ per cent, advance. Slipes were in strong demand and were ten per cent, higher; scoureds five per cent.; lambs’ and crossbreds five to ten, Merinos 10 to 15 per cent, higher.
