WOOL SALE
CONDITIONS AT NAPIER. KEEN COMPETITION. FALL IN LOWER GRADES. (.BY TELEGRA PR "PRESS ASSOCIATION.) NAPIER, Dec. 9. Good quality wools we re in strong demand at Napier’s second saie today, prices being as attractive as at last November. Competition for better lots was very keen, but lacked the fire of the last sale. Lower grade wools were in good demand, but values showed a fall of Id to ltd on November prices. At this early stage of the sale it is impossible to quote prices, and even the indication given herein may not hold throughout the sale. The large offering of 27,000 bales may affect the competition, but it is expected that the quotations given will not show a. further fall. THE BRISBANE SERIES. MARKET CLOSED FIRM . The market closed firm at Tuesday’s opening rates, the only lots meeting irregular competitions being those carrying an excessive amount of fault or heavy dusty ; or doubtful yielding parcels.
