McL’DOAVIE CUP. SECOND POUND COMPLETED. , The MeL’Dowi.e Cup croquet tournament was continued yesterday afternoon under excellent weather conditions when the second round was completed. In this Stratford, Hawera, Avon (1), and Eaponga were eliminated from i further competition, and to-day the semi-finals and finajs were played. Tlie details of the second round were as follows:'— ► Rahotu 46 beat Stratford 36. Avon (2) 42 beat Hawera 28. Patea 37 beat Avon (1) 31. Okaiawa 49 beat Kaponga (2) 37. The draw for the semi-finals which were commenced at ten o’clock this morning was: Palletu v. Avon (2j ; Patea v. Okaiawa. Correction: The tournament is being managed by Mrs. .L J. Bull, secretary of the association, and not Mr. Bull, as appeared yesterday as a result of a typographical error.
