Referring to the visit of the AVellingtonton athletes, P. H. Jenkins, J. T. Fleming, J .Carswell, and R, A. Rose to* the meeting, the chairman said the club owed a great deal to the courtesy they had extended, particularly in consenting to remain an extra day when it had been necessary to postpone the meeting. They had also handed back, as donations to- the club, the orders for trophies which they had won at the meeting. It was decided to forward <a letter of appreciation to each member of the AVellington team, including the manager (Mr Cl Parsonage) and also- to forward a suitable souvenir of the occasion to each. It was also decided to send a letter of t-lianks to Mr A. C. Kitto, of AVellington, for his assistance in arranging for the visit. Mention was also- made of the services rendered by Mr AV. Sharrocli, of the Electric Light Company, and his assistants in connection with the lights and of the help given by the honorary gatekeepers, the secretary being requested to communicate the thanks of the club. MEMBERS’ BADGE.

Designs of proposed club badges to be fashioned in enamel were considered. Choice was made of a,, miniature shield pattern showing the club colours, red and black, and surmounted with a design of Mt. Egmont, beneath which was the inscription. H.A.A.0., with the word member across the base.

The secretary was authorised to order a supply of 50 and it was decided to make the badges available at 3s 3d to members, it being pointed out that the sum was- approximately the cost to the club. CENTRE FUNDS APPEAL.

A letter received from the secretary of the AVanganui-Taraiiaki centre (Mr P. Stott) asked consideration of a projxjsal that, with a view to providing funds to defray the expense annually of sending teams to represent the centre at the New Zealand championships, each of the respective clubs arrange for at least one sports meeting yearly, the proceeds of which would be devoted to the fund. The letter pointed out that during the current season the AVanganui clubs had departed from the usual custom of conducting individual meetings and had combined their activities, the whole of the profits realised being posted to the centre funds.

After a brief discussion it was decided to defer consideration to a- later meeting.
