A site, had been .selected for the erection of a new building at Claudel antis in which the diocesan girls’ school would be housed at a later date. At least two scholarships l would be granted to the children of clergy in the dioceses. The diocesan magazine had been launched, and .MOO!) copies wore being distributed monthly. An ell'ort had been made to welcome the Maori adherents of the church, and to show that they counted as an integral part ol .the diocese. Important. preparations bad been made tor u wide extension of the church’s work among the Maori people—St. -Anselm’s school for the preliminary training o.'f young men for the ministry, and .for the final devotional and practica l training of those who were to he or. dained for service in the diocese. Seven young men were now attending the school, which was receiving the sympathy and practical support of people all over the province. A /-Impel had also been built at Bishopscourt.
