“BAXTER’S” AND THE BRIDGE PARTY. Two married couples from Wellington recently stopped at the United Service Hotel, Christchurch, on their way to Mount Cook. A Christchurch friend dropped in one evening and invited them out to a bridge party. One of the ladies explained that she could not very well go, as she had a sore throat, and she thought that she was in for a bout of influenza. “I’ll soon fix that,” said the Christchurch resident, and immediately procured a bottle of Baxter’s Lung Preserver from a nearby chemist. “Take a couple of doses of this and see how you feel.” After dinner the lady felt much better and was able to proceed to the party. Whether “Baxter’s” was responsible or not, she had quite a successful evening, and felt quite relieved next morning when her sore throat had vanished. .You can rout sore throats and incipient coughs and colds with good old ’’Baxter’s.” It is a rich Ted, warming, soothing compound that does you good from the first dose. It is pleasant to take, besides being an invaluable remedy for chest and bronchial ailments. It possesses wonderful tonic properties that help to build up the system. “Baxter’s” is not an untried preparation, but has been on the New Zealand market now for over sixty years. You can obtain a generoussized bottle of “Baxter’s” from any chemist or store for 2/6; or try the bachelor size at 1/6. —Advt.
