Pye j2G (not out), Worrall 21 and Miller 27 were the principal contributors, Rivals easily beat Phoenix by an innings and nine runs yesterday, thus gaining a three-point win. \\ orral was in great form with the ball, getting, six wickets lor 33 and fivp for 29 runs. Pye also did well — four for 22 and five for 24. Johns and Reading did best for Phoenix. Johnson 13 and 17 not out, Jordan 16, and Campi 13 were the only batsmen to score freely. On Saturday the two Hawera teams will meet for the first time this season, Midlands playing Excelsior at the Park. Okaiawa will be at home to Eltham, Stx-atford will come to Hawera to play High School. Manaia will be also at home to Patea, while Old Boys travel to Kaponga. All of these are likely to produce good interesting cricket.
