MINOR ASSOCIATION’S COMPETE ' TION. SECOND DIVISION 1 SUGGESTED. (ey telegraph—press association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 29. Several proposals which had a bearing on the Hawke Cup competition for decision among the minor associations ' of New Zealand were before a meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council last night. The proposals were held over pending the receipt of opinions from associations regarding a resolution forwarded by a sub-committee from the conference of minor associations that there should be a second competition, open to the lower divisions of the minor associations, which would he classified for that purpose according to their playing strength. TEAMS FOR TO-MORROW. For to-morrow cricket competitions the undermentioned teams have been selected: Phoenix.—Johnson (2), J. Tiddy, Barleyman, Johns, Penfold, Ryan, Reading, Zadoni, Cairncross, Hitchcock, Ward. Rivals.—Vinnioombe, Barker, _ Treweek, Atkins, Worrall. T. Lay, Bitter, Wilton, S. Carter, Colman, Franklin. Manaia.—Miller, Hughes, Edwards, Gyde, Valler, Lord, Duncan, Whalen, Winter, Campbell, Nairn.
