DAIRY FACTORY MANAGERS

TARANAKI BRANCH,

EXECUTIVE MEETING

Matters of interest were at a meeting of the executive of the Taranaki branch of the New Zealand Factory Managers’ Association, held yesterday in Hawera. There were present: Messrs. A, Illingworth (president), A. F. Neilson (Fihamu) secretary for the Dominion Association; G. Woods (Ngaere), J. L. Taylor (Lowgarth), W. Young (Patea), C. Bowman (Hawera), /and M. Beattie (Cape Egmont). The executive, after considerable discussion, carried a motion expressing disappointment with the Government for not including a member of the association on the Research Council of the Massey College o.f Agriculture (Palmerston North), It was stressed that, considering the purposes of the college, factory managers should have represented. The annual conference was fixed for January 20 at Pa tea- and arrangements in connection therewith were left in the hands of the secretary and the catering tq Messrs. Illingworth and Thorburn.

The Moturoa conference was fixed for February 20 and Messrs. Young and Beattie were deputed to attend to the catering. New members were elected /as follows : Messrs. B. M. Giinchy (Waingongoro), G. Gibbons (Kaimata) and A. Hamblyn (Okau).
