HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY. ANNUAL MEETING. There was a fair attendance of members at the annual general meeting of the Normanby Horticultural Society, held last night, the Rev. H. J. Fletcher (president) being in the chair. The statement of accounts and report were adopted, particulars of which were published in yesterday’s “Star.”

It was resolved* to hold a conference between the general committee and the guarantors on Friday, December 9. Three cups were won outright by Mr. D. Robertson, Mesdames Washer and Duggan. A motion of sympathy was passed with the relatives of the late Mrs. D. E. Scott, Mrs. Paine, Mrs. J. Edwards, Mi’- E. Godfrey, and Mr. G. Brisco, members who had passed away during the* year.
A vote of thanks to the Press, to the chairman, and outgoing officers concluded the meeting.
