METHODIST SYNOD.

TARA X A KI-WA NGANUI DISTRICT. The Methodist Synod was continued at Hawera yesterday afternoon, when the examination of Air. I). Flickman (Wanganui) and Mr. Payne (New Plymouth), candidates for the ministry, took place. Both men were recommended to the conference for acceptance.

The report of the Methodist Theological College was received and adopted. The members of the Synod met last evening as a committee to discuss Home Mission matters, the findings of which will come before the General Synod for confirmation to-day. ' This evening there will he a formal welcome to the delegates by the chairman (Rev. W. ,T. Oxbrow), and an interesting musical recital by the choir under Mr Fox.
