ROTARY CLUBS’ MATCH.

Another of enjoyable matches between the Hawera and Wanganui Rotary Clubs was played on the Wanganui links yesterday afternoon, when the Wanganui players for the first time were successful, winning four games to three. The match, took place after the weekly luncheon and the Hiawera team, being two men short, had the services ol two of the Wanganui Rotarians. The visitors were treated right royally and were not at all displeased to hand, deer the challenge trophy to the victors. President Cbull, of the Wanganui Cilul), said that the contests had proved a splendid thing for the two clubs, bringing the respective members together in isuch a way that the best ol good fellowship prevailed and he assured the Hawera Club players that his men would very soon be in Ilawera to play another match. The scores and players were as follows, the Hawera men being first mentioned: O’Callaghan and T. Morpeth beat Meldrum and Gilbert. Sutton and Palmer beat Bunn erst rum and l>Oiig, Suisted and Dalgetty lost to Creed Meredith and Grieve, Dickie and Hedges lost to Gordon and Foster, Thomson and Maywood lost to R.ice and Higginbottom, McCarthy and Fyison lost to Lilburn and Couil, Jones beat BaUingall.
