WEDDING.

SCHWASS —CHANDLER. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at the Presbyterian Church, MoKoia, on October 19tli, the contracting parties being Rita Mary, second daughter of Mr. and the* late Mrs. J. Chandler, of Palmerston North., and Morton A’dalbert, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Schwass, of Manutahi. The Rev- H. J. Fletcher was the officiating minister. The bride, who entcred the church, on the arm of her lather, was attired in a beautiful frock of ivory satin, georgette, and silver hue. The veil, which was beautifully embroidered in ivory and silver, hung from a coronet of tiny flowers and buds. She carried a shower bouquet of freesias, roses, and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Joyce Chandler, sister of the bride, looked charming in a frock of sunset crepe de chine, with hat to match. Her bouquet was of tulips, rosebuds, and maidenhair fere. The three hxtle flower girls, Edith and Margery Goile (twin nieces of the bridegroom), and Esma- Chandler (sister of the bride), were daintily attired 1 in frocks of pale mauve, pale pink, and pale green respectively. Each wore a tulle headband to match her frock, and carried a basket of flowers of the same shade. Mr. Harold 'Dickson, of Manutahi, carried 1 out the duties of best man. The bridegroom's presents to the bridesmaid and flower girls were strings of pearls. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Coronation Hall, Manutahi. The hall was prettily decorated in pale mauve, pale pink, and pale green. The wedding cake, which was made bv the bride’s sister, Mrs. R. Schwass, and beautifully iced by Mrs. O’Sullivan, of Manutahi, was a square three-tier one. In the evening Mr. and Mrs. R. Schwass entertained a large number of guests in the Mauutahi Hall, where several pleasant hours were spent in dancing. _ During the evening the bride and bridegroom left by car. midst a shower of oonfetti, the • bride travelling in a navy ensemble suit, with hat and shoes to tone, and ' wearing ai handsome fox fur, the gift ' of the bridegroom.
