Bavin stated the sug gestion was quite impossible, as the Bi i before Parliament proposed the abolition of the council, and the new order would be ushered in with the passage of tlie Bill.

(Mr Bavin added that be had obtained a mandate from the people to abolish the council and the wishes of the, people would be given effect to.
