All advocated reciprocity of trade between Australia and New Zealand and the British possessions in the Pacific, which, lie said, was a factor which would make for the progress of the Pacific. He added that Fiji had quite recovered 'from the labour troubles resulting in the stoppage of shipment of coolies from India, and a. period of prosperity was ahead.
