NEW ZEALAND TEAM. MATCH WITH CHRIST'S COLLEGE. EAST SCORING AT CHRISTCHURCH. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 17. The New Zealand representative cricket team played a match to-day with Christ’s College first eleven. The wicket was drying after heavy rain, and was therefore in the bowlers’ favour.
The College team gave an exhilarating display. G. Roberts and E. Lumsdcu batted brightly, and It. J. Bean bowled excellently, keeping a very good length. He took six wickets lor 50 runs. At' one stage three New Zealand wickets were down for 18 runs.
College, batting first, were all out for 135 (Luinsdcn 27, Roberts 38, Mur-, ray 15). New Zealand declared with nine wickets down for 190 (Blunt 46, Dempster 54). College went in again, and when stumps were drawn had lost six wickets for 48.
