COMMONWEALTH LINE.
DIFFICULTIES OVER TRANSFER FEARED. 3Y Cable—press association— copyright. LONDON, Nov. 11. Shipping circles, who followed the Federal House debate concerning the Commonwealth Shipping Line closely, are now eager to know the method or selling the ships, whether by bender or otherwise. It is pointed out that though the previous prohibitive condition® of sale have been removed it will istill not be plain sailing for any purchaser. In view of Labour’s opposition to the sale, fears are expressed regarding the attitude of some of the unions and thie suggestion has been made that when, the ships are transferred to the British register, serious labour troubles may be encountered or the ships may be singled out from aP others and declared black," owing to the reversion to British wages and conditions instead of Australian.
