SHORTAGE OF REVENUE.
SvOUTH AUSTRALIAN TAXATION. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT. Received 11.40 a.m. to-day. ADELAIDE, Nov. 12. The State Treasurer, in submitting the increased taxation proposals, said that the Government was compelled to raise addition revenue not only to meet the shrinkage in receipts, but to provide lor a shortage of £1,050,000 in the revenue exposed in the accounts for the last year of office of the previous Government.
