CERMONY IN LONDON. SIMPLE PROCEDURE. ROYALTY TAKES PART. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received 1.30 p.m. to-day. LONDON, Nov. 11. Armistice' Day was celebrated at the Cenotaph with the same simple procedure as in recent years. The King. Pirincie of Wales, Duke of York,. Cabinet Ministers and High Commissioners deposited wreaths. Then silence was observed, followed! by the Last post, the Reveille and the National Anthjem. Immediate!v after the King’s departure a seemingly endless queue began to file past the Cenotaph to the Unknown Warrior’s grave in thie Abbey.
PURCHASE OF'POPPIES. LONDON, Nov. 11. The Kinsr paid £IOO for his .poppy, likewise. Queen Mary, to a seller casing at Buckingham Palace, who also visited York House, where the Prince of Wales paid £IOO. Poppy Dav headquarters received two cheques for £2o apiece from the Duke and Duchess of York—A.P.A. and “Sim.”
