The first broadcast throughout the Empire through the British Broadcasting Company’.» short wave station at Chelmsford will be a remembrance festival at Albert Hall on November 11, the evening of Armistice day, when th© Prince of Wales will address 10,000 ex-service men. Thus for the first time an history, th© Dominions and the colonies will have an opportunity of sharing in London’s commemoration of Armistice Day by an audible link. In view of the success of Mr. Marcuse’s transmissions to Australia a,nd 2FB broadcasts to Britain, there seems to be every reason to believe the SSW will be received throughout the Empire. The Chelmsford station will iiise twenty-four metres wave length, power 20 kilowatts, giving a chance of reception throughout the world.
