Archbishop O’Shea, of Wellington, arrived in Hawera last evening for the funeral of the late Monsignor Power, which takes place to-morrow. A number of other members of the clergy are expected to arrive to-night, including the Very Rev. Eatller Gilbei-t, Rector of St. Patrick’s College.

Walkley, of Feilding, who lias been on a visit to his son, Mr. W. G. Walkley. of Hawera, left by the south express this morning. Mr. J. B. Murdoch, of Hawera, left by the south exxpress this morning on a visit to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. R. Dunn, who have been on an extended visit to the Auckland and North Taranaki districts, arrived in Hawera to-day and proceeded to their home at Auroa.

The Rev. W. Elliott, of Wanganui, who has been in attendance at the Presbyterian Bible Class rally at Eltham, left Hawera by the south express tliis morning. He was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Cameron, of Hawera, last evening. Mr. and Mrs. C. Oldish, of Awakino, were amongst the guests at the White Hart Hotel, Hawera, last evening. They leit for Wellington this morning. The death is reported by cable from Hobart of Air. Edward Mulcahy, formerly Minister of Lands and a Federal Senator.

Mr. N. R. McKenzie, senior inspector of Taranaki schools, is to arrive in Hawera this evening on a week’s visit to the district. Ha will be staying at the Egmont Hotel. Mr J. N. Anderson., formerly of Hiawera, who- has been on an extended tour of America- and Europe, arrived in Hawera- last evening accompanied by Mrs Anderson.
