HOUSES RAIDED AT CHRISTCHURCH. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 21. Within the past few weeks a mimbei of suburban residences in Christchurch have been broken into during the absence of the occupants and furniture and furnishings stolen in a. da.ri.ug manner. Carpets, bedding and various other articles width could h.a.ve been removed easily in motor car, mostly have been,taken, but in some cases the houses have beep practically stripped of everything except heavy pieces ol furniture. In one case a home which a- young couple were furnishing prior to their marriage was almost denuded of contents.
