The four Royal Air Force flying boats which left Plymouth this morning on a cruise to India and Australia, alighted this afternoon at J.onrtin, near Bordeaux. BERLIN, Oct. 19. An airman named Schultze made a new glider altitude record of 2118 feet in four hours, heating the previous best (552 feet). SYDNEY. Oct. 20. The new crew taken from Sydney to Newcastle for the Hurunui refused to man the vessel until the original crew were released from gaol, and they will he brought hack to Sydney. Meanwhile the Hnrunui is still held up. HOBART. Oct. 20. Fire destroyed a block of flats in the city in the early morning. Two children.
