OKAIAWA CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING HELD. The animal meeting of members of the Okaiawa Tennis Club was held last evening, Mr D. Johnston presiding over an attendance of about a dozen members. The annual report submitted by the secretary, Mr D. Crawford, stated that the past season had been very successful, there being at times players in attendance from other districts as well as club members. The opening day had been a great feature and the large numbers of players present had all enjoyed themselves. Very little had been required to be done to the courts during the season, for they had been in firstclass condition. The club was in a sound financial position, and had the annual ball held during the season proved more successful the credit balance in hand would have been most satisfactory. The prospects for the coming season were very bright, and it was hoped to increase the enthusiasm of members and the standard of play by playing under the ladder system. In conclusion, the secretary expressed thanks for the valuable assistance given during the period by the lady supporters of the club. The balance-sheet showed that at the beginning of the season the credit balance in hand had been £ls Os 6d. Receipts had totalled £.12 11s 2d and expenditure £l4 12s lOd, leaving a credit of £l2 ISs lOd. Office bearers were elected as follows for the coming period: Patron, Mr L. Houlahan; president, Mr J. Barclay; vice-presidents, Messrs E. Meuli, A. Lees, G. Betts, A. Robertson, A. Christiansen; secretary, Mr D. Crawford; auditor, Mr J. Barclay; club captain, Mr D. Johnston; committee, all present with power to add. Subscriptions wore fixed at 12/6 for men and 7/6 for women, reducible by 2/6 if paid before the end of December.

Opening day was fixed for Novcm ber 5.
