CHURICM CONSIDERING PROPOSAL.
(BY TELEGRAPH—PPvESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 15. That the Church qf England should establish a radio' broadcasting station in Christchurch for the dissemination of church tservices was the proposal placed before the Christchurch Diocesan Synod last night. The Synod re ferrod the matter to the standing committee with power to appoint external committee.
Bishop AVest-AVatson said that wireless bad come to- stay and by establish ing a station the church would only be working with the people. They should not* adopt the attitude taken up when steam engines were introduced.
