Received 10.55 a.m. to-day WASHINGTON, Oct. if. .The Department of Commerce announces that the United States closed the first nine months of tho year with a favourable trade balance of 356,868,000 dollars as compared with 87,013, 000 for the corresponding xieriod ol 1926. The exxxn'ts totalled 3,509,407,000' dollars, and the imports 3,152, 539,000. September was the larges* export month with 426,000,000 dollars Gold exports for the nine months amounted to 57,637,000 dollars, and the imports to 192,957,000; silver ex Xiorts to 56,849,000 dollars and imports to 41,132,000.
