Well, Mr Editor, when I got my rate account I looked back teste Avhat my last year’s rates were, and I saw they were just tlie same as this year," with the power ratei included, Avhich shows that our councillors should be congratulated for being able to reduce the road rates so as to make the total the same, as Mr Hobday mentioned in his letter. _ One ratepayer goes as far as to say ‘that the sooner he leaves this country the Letter. We 1 !, I suppose the country will weather the storm without his valuaKe services. I myself would like to see all the electric iwnver run by power boards, which means cheaper power and light.—l am, etc., . ELECTRIC. Manaia, Oct. 15.
