TO-DAY’S BULL FAIR
There was an excellent attendance oi’ prospective buyers at the Sout Road saleyards tnis afternoon tor the opening of the pedigree Jersey hull fair held by the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. and .Newton L-mg Ltd., -Hawera, when 06 bulls irom the herds of many of the leading breeders of South Taranaki were offered, there were about a hundred present and, though bidding was somewhat slow at the beginning of the fair, the demand improved. The best price in the early part of the sale was secured by All. J. Thomlinson s four-year-old bull Quaere High Admiral, which was sold at 42gns Mr. ,S. J. Bennett got 32 guineas for each oi two two-year-old bulls, and Mr. .1. Nicolson 33gns. tor a fine three-year-old by Itiver.suood Squire. Tne sale was conducted by the firms mentioned, Mr. B.
