The New Zealanders during the week-end fired a friendly match over 300, (500, 700 and 900 yards against the West Australian team, which finished .second in the last Commonwealth match. The Dominion men performed excellently to-be beaten by io points only, the scores being : West- Australia 1724 and New Zealand 1709. H. Boon headed the New Zealand scores with an aggregate of 121. Captain Masefield registered the only possible of the day. In to-day’s shooting the Piazza match (300 yards) was won by S. A. Gentle (Mudgee). The New Zealanderis, W. J. Green. F. Shariand, W. H. BaJilinger and W. N. Masefield, won £l each. The Le Maitre- Match (600 yards), was won by D. Leitch (West Australia). New Zealanders to win £1 each were W. J. Green, W. H. Ballinger, F. Higgs and J. Heney. The Dangar 700 yards match, was won bv A. Blatdh (New South Wales) with Boon (Karori) second, the latter winning a £6 prize. The following New Zealanders won £1 each: E. El. Veilnell, W. Green, J. Turnbull, W. Masefield and ,E. Ballinger.
