BULL FAIR AT NEW PLYMOUTH

Of the 83 pedigree Jersey bulls submittocl at the eighth annual bull sale in New Plymouth yesterday, the majority will go to daixv farmers mainly of Tamili a hi", to improve the .standard of the herds. A few were taken by buyers from Waikato, Wanganui, Waver lev and Southland. The average of the bu’vls sold worked out at £24. the highest mice being secured by Mr G. H. .Bell’s two-year-old Pine wood’s Golden Bad. which at 90 guineas was taken by a. Kolmratahi breeder. Mr R. C. Henry’s four-year bull Poplar vale Squire reached 80 guineas and Air E. Griffiths’ two-year-olcl Fern’s Oxford Lad 60 guineas, going to Waikato A vearling hull bv Clarion, submitted bv Air Trubv King, went to < Westmere breeder at 65 .guineas, and The Butler, also by Clarion, was soil for 50 guineas. Newton King Ltd. conducted the sale AL- Griffiths being manager and Messrs K. Kirk and F. Cameron the auctioneers. A judging competition was Titeld, Air F. W.
