MIXED BATHING HOURS

EXTENSION APPROVED

Speaking with a “Hawera Star” reporter to-day, the chairman of the Hawera. Municipal Baths Committee stated the committee had decided to adopt the recommendations made by the custodian regarding the hours of admission for the coming season. As published in Tuesday’s “Star,’\ the schedule recommended by the cus-' todian includes several alterations as compared with last -season, the most notable being the- increase in mixed bathing hours. Last season mixed bathing was provided for from 5 to 6.30 p.m. on Tuesdays, 2 to 6.30 p.m. on Wednesdays, 5 to 6.30 p.m. on Thursdays, and 10 to 11.30 a,m. on Saturdays. This season’s -schedule, however, will allow for mixed bathing from 6.30 to 8.30 a.m. on each weekday, as well as during the whole afternoon sessions on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and from 5 p.m. till closing time on the other week days, while the open period between 10 and 11.30 a.m. on Saturdays is being retained. Hours are fixed for ladies and girls each day excepting Wednesdays and Saturdays; for men on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays; and for boys each day excepting Wednesdays and Saturdays. As an advance of one hour in clock time is being made on the first Sunday in November in accordance with the coming into operation of the Summer Time Act, the baths will open at 6.30 a.m. instead of 6 as formerly, but the evening week day closing time is being extended from 6.30 to 7 p.m. except on Saturdays. The time-table adopted for the respective -days is as follows: Sunday.—Ladies and girls. 6.30 to 8 a.m. ; men and boys. 8 to 10 a.m. Aloncln.v. —Mixed bathing, 6.30 to 8.30 a.m". and 5 to 7 p.m.: ladies, 2 to 3 and 4 to 5 p.m. ; girls, 4 to 5 p.m.; hoys (High and Convent schools) 12 to 1 p.m. (public) 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday.—Mixed bathing, 6.30 to 8.30 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.; ladies. 2 to 3 p.m.; girls (High and Convent schools) 12 to 1 p.m. (Public) 3 to 4 p.m. ; men and hoys, 4 to 5 p.m.. Wednesday. —Mixed bathing, 6.30 to 8.30 a.m. and 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday.—Mixed bathing. 6.30 to 8.30 and 5 to 7 n.m. ; ladies, 2 to 3 p.m.; girls (Public schools), 3 to 4 p.m.; men, 4 to 5 p.m.; hoys (High and Convent schools). 12—1 p.m. Friday.—Mixed bathing. 6.30 to 8.30 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.; ladies, 2 to 3 and 4—5 p.m. : girls (High -and Convent schools), 12 to 1 p.m.; boys, 3 to 4 p.m.

Saturdays.—Mixed bathing, C. 30 to 8.30 a.m.,' 10 to 11.30 a.m., 1.30 to 0.30 p.m.
