THE FINAL TRIAL. TO-DAY’S BIG MATCH.

The final Rugby trial of the series in which -p-layens are contending the honour of wearing the Silver Fern during the tour ui South Africa next season was staged at Athletic Park, Wellington, to-day, When the New Zealand Possibles fifteen took the field against a .Probables side. Play commenced at 3.1 b o’clock.

A wireless message broadcast just before the game opened advised that the teams were as -selected after the conclusion of Saturday’s North v. South Island game. Lucas captained the Possibles and Porter led the Probables. Taranaki is represented in the Probables team by H. AY. Brown as centre three-quarter and P. Ward on the side of the iserum.
