Irving Glover, has announced that a private concern will attempt the flight from San Francisco to Aus r Lraiia about October 15. Mr. Glover state* that the Post Office Department has decided .to permit the taking of fifteen hunched Jettecs from the United States on the flight. Permission for this to be done having been given by the Australian Minister of Post and Telegraphs.

Received 11 a.m. to-day. NEW YORK, Oct. 4. President Ooplidge will send a letter to the lit. Hon. S. M. Bruce in the air mail, while the PostmasterGeneral, Mr. H. S.. New, will forward one to the Goinmon wealth PostmasterGeneral, the Hon. M. Gibson. Mr. Glover declared that the opportunity will be given to the public to send letters to Australia by the ’plane, a selection being made from as many different sources as possible.
