ANNUAL BOLT AT, EVENING. A happv thought it was on the part of the Park Bowling Club committee fo hold a social evening at which members aiul friends could meet and cni joy a few hours with song, story and , cards. This took place last night and .was thoroughly appreciated by all. j There were about sixty present and Mr IX. Kendall ivas in charge of the proceedings and made things go with much To the musical programme the following contributed: Songs, Miss Butler, Mrs. Drynan, Mr. J. Sheehan, Mb-. W. Woolletts, and recitation by Mr. Hall. Accompaniments were played. bv Atiss Butler. A ‘series of games of euchre were plaved and the winners were: Ladies, Mrs. Jackson, 1; Mrs. Warner, 2; men, Air. 'O’Dowd, 1; Mr. .1. ; Cox, 2. Booby prize: Airs. Brett and Air. Carswell. The prizes were given for the ladies bv Mr. U. Quiu and for the men by Air. J. Goodwin. „ , ~ In a happy speech, Air. Kendall presented the prizes, expressing the pleasure the committee, felt at seeing so nuniv present and the hope that all had enjoyed the evening. He thanked very sincerely those who had contributed to the programme and also the donors of the prizes. OPENING OF REASON. The next fortnight will see the season in full swing, for most of the clubs here arranged their opening days.
