MURDER OF CONSTABLE
IMPORTANT CLUES.
POLICE ACTIVITY. FINGER PRINTS IDENTIFIED. > CHESS ASSOCIATION— COi-iRIGH'i Received 10.25 a.m. to-day. LONDON. Sept. 29. The police have identified finger prints found on the car as belonging to two well-known criminals, and they are combing London for tins men, regarding whose movements on the alight Constable Gutteridge was murdered important statements have been obtained.—“ Sydney Sun” cable.
The oolite have released Baldwins, disbelieving his confession.
Constable Gutteridge was found deaid on a road in Essex with four wounds iin his head. The theory was that he held up a motor car and was shot while making inquiries.
