OPERA HOUSE OPERA HOUSE TO-NIGHT TO-NIGHT TO-NIGHT TO-NIGHT FINAL PRODUCTION OF “ THE ARCADIANS ” “ THE ARCADIANS ” “THE ARCADIANS” “THE ARCADIANS” By the Hawera Amateur Operatic Society in aid of the HAWERA HOSPITAL RADIO WIRELESS FUND. The Society is greatly disappointed'at the lack of response by the public last night to the appeal made on behalf of the sick and suffering, and is correspondingly grateful to those who were present. The. Society is loth to believe that, the object of their effort does not appeal to the public, and feels that it is idle to seek for the real reason for the poor patronage. It simply remains for the Society to carry out its programme, let the issue be what it may. It is not the first occasion on which a well meant effort has failed to achieve complete success, and the Operatic Society remains undaunted and will come again before the public in due season animated by the same spirit which obtains at the present, as in the past—the desire to serve the community and do something to uplift and bring joy and goodwill to the people of the district. The Opera will be produced in its entirety THIS EVENING, and patrons can rely on a production which will not fall shoft in any way of those which have preceded it. REMEMBER, it is not the Operatic Society that you are asked to support TO-NlGHT—simply to provide CHEERFUL HELPFUL HOURS for the PATIENTS of the Hospital is the appeal which is ssued for vour endorsement and assistance.
