‘‘THE ARCADIANS.” OPERATIC SOCIETY’S EFFORT. An opportunity to cheer the sick and the suffering at the Hawera Hospital s afforded to eevryone in the town and district In- the complimentary performances of the comic opera, “The Aoadians,” which last week proved such a wonderful success. The society, tn.rough its president, made the offer of two performances, and these will take place to-night and to-morrow (Tuesday) tin the Ouera House, and the executive i,s confident the house will he fiHed. The effort is for the patients in the hospital, and thp res Lifts will help those of tiie present as well as the future, i'he radio wireless set which is to be purchased will help to beguile many weary hours in the wards. The society, the orchestra, the Opera House staff, and all connected with the show are giving their services voluntarily. The people of the town and district may lie depended on to do their share in the effort. A fine souvenir programme is published and everyone should have a, copy. A special attraction will be the the dancing turn by Mr Th/eo. Tresize and his partner, Miss MeuFi, of Wanganui.’ x Seat® should be booked at once at the Opera Bouse confectionery.
