Four Russians accused of espionage an behalf of the British were sentenced to death, and a fifth was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment. The prosecuting counsel was wildly applauded when he declared that the prisoners, acting under instructions from Captain Ross, supplied most valuable information to the Polish and Finnish espionage departments, receiving in exchange bombs, visas, and money, with which they plotted' and participated in terrorist acts.—A.P.A. and “Sun.”
