Following a fire at Ngongotaha Post Office last week, when it was alleged that the postmaster was assaulted find money destroyed, it was reported to the police that the postmaster, Beerdegen, bad disappeared. . Hoerdegen’s ear was found bogged’ in the Taupo Road, and the owner was found afterwards in a state of collapse and taken to the King George V . Hospital. The police are now making further investigations.
