BUSH FIRES IN QUEENSLAND
A TOWNSHIP THREATENED. MAN TRAPPED BY FLAMES. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT. Received 11.40 a.m. to-day. BRISBANE, Sept. 21. Bush fires in the Esk district caused very considerable damage to property and fencing. The residents fought the flames, which came within half a mill© of Esk township. A man named Juliaus Schultz - was trapped by flames and was so iseriously burned that he succumbed.
