HAWERA LADIES’ OLUB. In last week’s competition (four-ball bogey) only two four-ball matches competed. The best card was handed iu by Mrs Thomson .and Miss Joll, who were three up on bogey. The above competition ended the programme for the season, and members will now be able to devote themselves to Yankee matches and the finals for the club competitions. Several championship matches have been played during the week. Mrs. Dickie beat Miss H. 'Wilson in the second round of the senior championship and now meets Mrs Thomson in the semi-finals. In the junior division Mrs Meuli won rim Mrs iGlasson and Miss H. Eurgess from Miss McCormack. Miss D. Huggins has handed in a card which entitles her to a handicap of 32. Miss Dora Ilawken nas reduced her handicap to 21. The ladies v. men match on Saturday last proved an enjoyable one. In spite of the strokes conceded by the men they were too strong for the ladies, though a number of the latter succeeded in winning or halving their matches. Detailed results have already been published.
