HIGH SCHOOL BOARD.

ELECTION OF MEMBERS. Nominations closed yesterday with, the returning officer (Mr A. Gray) for the election of members to represent school committees (within, five miles), local bodies and Education Board. An election' will be held on September 23 for the committees’ representative, Mr J. W. J. Harding being eligible for re-election, .and so far no other nominations have, been received. Mr A. Lees U 3 presents. the Education Board, and he will automatically continue fir office.

In regaid to local bodies, the procedure is- that all those contained in the sohool district will meet on September 23 to select one ,of their mtmU?r to represent them. So far nothing has been done to secure the selection of a representative.
