TRAGEDY IN PARIS
HIS ASSAILANT ARRESTED.

Received 12.10 p.m. to-day. PARIS, Sept. 12. An unknown Italian entered the Italian Consulate. ,said that he was seeking a passport, and asked for an mterview with the vice-consul, Count Carlo Nardind, alone. After a few minutes two shots were heard and the attendants, rushing in, found the count huddled in his chair mortally wounded m the chest. His assailant made a fierce resistance, firing two shots without effect before he was overpowered and arrested. Count Nardini died in hospital.
