INCREASE IN EXPORTS. . saki.k pkbsh association —copyrighi Received 9.55 a.m. to-day. LONDON, Seipt. 12. The Board of Trade returns for August show that the value of imports into Britain decreased bv £11,036,000, yvhile exports increased by £9,623,000, anti re-exports of foreign and colonial produce yvere greater bv £222,000. The decreases in imports were chiefly nondutiable food and drink, £1,335,000 coal £7,539,000, oils and fats £2,057,000. The increases included imports: Wool and timber £1.430,000. and in exports coal £3,536,000, iron , «rncl st'e-cl manufactures £2,007,000.
