POINTS WORTH NOTING.
A spotlight is useful on a car when it is necessary to make repairs or change a tyre at night. To keep the car steady and to prevent the rim of the steering wheel from sliding through the hands, it is not only necessary to keep both hands on the wheel, but to grasp the wheel in such a way that it is impossible to slip should the front wheels strike an obstruction or the tyres blow out. Always keep the speed of the ear below the point where the tyres sing. A grabbing clutch will eventually cause trouble in the rear units of the car. Diluted crankcase oil can be identified by its thinness and its collection of black sediment. Unequal traction on hard-faced highways is the reason for a great many dangerous skids. The wise motorist is the one who obtains full road information before starting on a trip at this season of the year. The usefulness of a battery is decreased considerably if permitted to shake around in the car.
