The Australian sculler Major Goodsell, who this week successfully held the world’s championship against- the challenge of IT. A. Barry, has held the title since March 17, 1925, when he easily defeated the previous holder, William MVDevitt, to wlrom Paddon had passed the title on his retirement. Previously to defeating Barry, Goodsell had successfully defended his title against P. Hannan, .T. Paddon, and T. Saul.
