WOOL SALES. NEXT LONDON SEMES. BY CABLE- PRESS ASSOCIATION- COPYRIGHT. .Received 12.35 p.m. to-day. LONDON, Sept. 5. Art the wool sales on tlie 13th inst. 124,000 bales will he offered, of which new arrivals include Australian 34,500 and New Zealand 41,000.—A.1*.A. and “Sun.”
FROZEN MEAT MARKET. The New Zealand Loan and Mercanfo flowing cablegram from their Loudon till© Agenev Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 2nd inst.: — “N.Z. frozen meat: Lamb, B.]d per ’.b average; better market. Mutton: Wether .and maiden ewe, light 6<i, heavy sd; ewe, light heavy 4£-; market quiet.”
DAIRY PRODUCE. A. H. Turnbull and Co. report having received a cable from their principals, Messrs W. Wed del and Co., Ltd., dated London 2nd inst.. Tending as follows:—Danish butter. 182 s to 184 s; N.Z. unsalted. 176 s to 182 s; N.Z. salted, 174 sto 178 s ; market firm. N.Z. cheese, white 95s to 965, coloured 95s to 965; market firm. Canadian cheese, White and coloured, 96s to 97i5.”
HIDE AND SHEEPSKIN SALE. At the- usual fortnightly .sale of sheepskins and hides, etc., held -at Wellington on Friday, Murray, Roberts and Co. submitted a. fair catalogue to a- good attendance of buyers-. Dry ishoepskins were in demand at price's fnlte par with late' rates, and salted lots met with rather more enquiry, showing a general l average advance of about .sixpence over the prices realised last sale. A strong demand still keeps up for light-weight hides, at very high figures, and average- and heavy-weights are in very good le-qu.-est. Prices on the whole wore maintained at last sale’s level. Calf skins were stroll'd— competed for at- prices fully eoua.l to recent values. Tallow met with better enquiry, at an advance of 20s to 30s pof ton for casks in shipping order.
