Callisso, who claimed the world’s height record, was formally charged with an attempt to hoax the Aero Club. lie broke down when he confessed that he tampered with the barograph and only reached a fraction of tire height claimed. The discovery was due to the placing of a secret .sound barograph in the ’plane unobserved bv Oallizo. The au- t tliori ties’ suspicions were aroused when he landed at I/O Bourget only three hours after leaving Lebuc aerodrome.
