WARATAH FOOTBALLERS
ARRIVAL IN ENGLAND

The Waratah Rugby footballers have arrived at Plymouth and were officially welcomed by Admiral Royds and members of the International Rugby Board, representing England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Admiral Royds said that they were looking forward to learn much from the New South Wales’ exposition of the game ami hoped that the visitors would find that the home countries had maintained a high standard of efficiency, cleanness and true amateurism.
On landing the team was welcomed by the Mayor of Plymouth. The manager of the team, Mr Wallace, interviewed, said that all were well. They were unable to do any Rugby training, but had kept fit by exerefses. The voyage had been very happy, except for a few days ’ seasickness at tho beginning.
